Earth, Inc. Makes Major Move with New Senior Executive Hire
Long-time industry veteran, Gary Champion, Named New Company President
WALTHAM, MA, November 2009 - Expanding its executive team to leverage and extend the steady growth trajectory of its business, Earth, Inc. – known for its premium health and wellness brand, Earth® – today announces the appointment of Gary Champion to the newly-created role of President.
Champion injects a wealth of industry experience, largely defined by his extended tenure at Clarks Companies where he last held the position of Senior Vice President of the Wholesale division. In his twenty-five years with the organization, Champion was an integral member of an executive team that nurtured the meteoric growth of Clarks from a smaller, independent operation to a predominant, well-diversified brand of national renown. With deep insights and strengths in sales distribution strategy, sales management and product merchandising, in the role of President, Earth, Inc., Champion will oversee all aspects of business development and operations across the company’s major brand divisions.
Harry Kubetz will continue in his position as Chief Operating Officer, and Michel Meynard will continue in his role as Chairman, Earth, Inc.
With roots in the Boston area, Champion will be based at Earth, Inc.’s global headquarters located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Champion will initiate his employment with Earth, Inc. within the coming weeks upon completion of current commitments to his previous employer.
