Earth® Launches New Fall/Winter 2010 Footwear Line

Fashion-Forward Boots Re-Define the Balance of “Body and Sole”

Waltham, MA, January 2010 -Asserting its reputation for developing casual, stylish, and versatile everyday footwear that also packs body-enhancing and toning benefits, Earth® proudly announces the launch of its new Fall/Winter 2010 line – its most fashion-forward to date. The essence behind all Earth® styles – “Healthier You. Healthier World” – is celebrated throughout a line that uniquely combines trend-right style with body wellness-oriented benefits, and all while incorporating eco-friendly considerations to help leave a lighter footprint on the environment.

Dave Aznavorian, Vice President of Marketing, comments, “As the category of strengthening and toning footwear grows, it’s important that we reinforce what make Earth® different as the originator of the ‘healthy shoe’ concept, going all the way back to our roots on the original Earth Day. While highlighted by eye-catching boots that bridge the divide between fashion and function, the balance of the FW’10 Earth® line includes sporty casual styles, Men’s offerings, and even a new collection of footwear uniquely designed for the recovery needs of athletes pre-and post-activity, aptly named the Athletic Recovery Collection by Earth®.

Throughout the line, what is found in every Earth® style is a slight 3.7° incline. Along with reinforced arch support, and a more generous forefoot area, the range of features delivers the advantage of an incredibly stable walking platform that engages the body in a way unlike anything experienced while walking in conventional footwear.

With 2010 also marking the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, it’s an opportunity for Earth® Footwear to affirm its eco-friendly practices. Beyond the thoughtful use of water-based adhesives, cushioning that’s made with 70% recycled content, and glue-less packaging that’s printed using soy-based inks, all Earth® styles also incorporate BioStep™, a biodegradable outsole that actually de-composes in landfills 10x faster than an ordinary shoe.
