2-Time U.S. Olympian and 42-Time U.S. National Track & Field Champion, Tim Seaman is globally recognized as one of the most accomplished track and field athletes in the sport of competitive race walking. Seaman is currently prepping for the Summer Olympics to be held in 2012 in London, United Kingdom.
Seaman’s accomplishments over 15+ years of competitive track and field are notable and varied. In addition to his Olympic appearances, Seaman is a 6-time U.S. 20km champion (’98, ’00, ’02, ’04, ’05, ‘09); an 11-time U.S. Indoor champion; a 4-time U.S. 20km runner-up (’96, ’99, ’01, ‘03); is the indoor record holder in the 5000m walk; and holds 9 other outdoor records including that at 20km Olympic distance.
His PR for the 20km walk is 1:22.02; for the 50km walk, 4:05.35; and, for the 5km indoor walk, 19:15.88.
Seaman won the Susan Rudin Men's 1-mile race walk national title on January 29, 2010 at the Millrose Games in New York City in 5:52.43 to earn his 42nd national race walk title, equaling the 42 crowns won by National Track & Field Hall of Famer, Henry Laskau. Seaman has won 11 of the last 12 USA Indoor men's 5000m race walk championships.
A native of New York, Seaman currently resides in Chula Vista, California with his wife, Rachel.
